Plagiarism Policy
A. Initial Author Responsibility
Before submission, authors are required to conduct a plagiarism check on their manuscript using trusted plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin or iThenticate).
The plagiarism check report must be attached at the time of submission through the journal’s OJS system. Submissions without an attached plagiarism report may be returned without review.
B. Editorial Screening and Standards
NUANSA INFORMATIKA is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. To ensure originality and quality, every submitted manuscript will also be screened by the editorial team for similarity and potential plagiarism before the review process and again before publication.
C. Screening Tools:
The journal uses plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate to verify similarity.
D. Similarity Threshold:
- Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% (excluding references and bibliography) will be returned for revision or rejected outright.
- Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that their work is free from plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical practices.
E. Plagiarism Includes (but is not limited to):
- Copying text, figures, or data without proper citation or permission.
- Paraphrasing without acknowledgment.
- Submitting the same work to more than one publication (self plagiarism).
- Using previously published material without appropriate credit.
F. Consequences of Plagiarism:
- Manuscripts identified with serious plagiarism will be immediately rejected.
- If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the article may be retracted in accordance with COPE Retraction Guidelines.
- Authors proven to have committed plagiarism may be blacklisted from future submissions.
