Information For Authors

Thank you for your interest in publishing with NUANSA INFORMATIKA.
The following information is provided to guide authors through the submission and publication process.

A. Scope of the Journal

NUANSA INFORMATIKA is a peer‑reviewed journal on Information and Technology covering, but not limited to:

  • Algorithms
  • System Design
  • Computer Networks
  • Gamification and Game Development
  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Software Engineering
  • Mobile Applications
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Human–Computer Interaction
  • Image Processing
  • Computer Graphics and Computer‑Aided Design
  • And other relevant topics in computer science and information technology.

B. Submission Platform

All manuscripts must be submitted online through our OJS system:
https://journal.fkom.uniku.ac.id/ilkom

Submissions via email will not be processed.
For first‑time users, please create an account and follow the step‑by‑step submission instructions.

C. Manuscript Preparation

  • Manuscripts must follow the journal’s template.

  • Manuscripts should be written in clear English.
  • The maximum length is 10 pages.

For each additional page beyond 10 pages, an extra fee of IDR 50,000 per page will apply.

  • Include all required sections: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
  • Ensure proper citations and references following the journal’s citation style.

D. Plagiarism Policy

  • Authors must perform an initial plagiarism check (using Turnitin, iThenticate, or equivalent) before submission and upload the similarity report.
  • Manuscripts with a similarity score above 20% (excluding references) will not be processed.
  • The editorial office will perform additional plagiarism screening.

E. Peer Review Process

  • NUANSA INFORMATIKA applies a double‑blind peer review system:
    • Reviewers do not know the identity of authors, and vice versa.
  • Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers.
  • Authors are required to:
    • Revise the manuscript in the same file following reviewers’ comments,
    • Highlight changes,
    • Include a response letter addressing each comment.
  • Average review time: 1 to 1.5 months (depending on revision cycles).

F. Publication Frequency

NUANSA INFORMATIKA is published twice a year:

  • January (Volume X.1)
  • July (Volume X.2)

G. Article Processing Charge (APC)

  • Authors whose articles are accepted for publication are required to pay a publication fee:
    IDR 450,000 per article (up to 10 pages).

Additional pages: IDR 50,000 per page beyond 10 pages.

  • Payment instructions will be sent via email after the article is accepted.
  • A Letter of Acceptance (LoA) will be issued once payment is confirmed.
  • NUANSA INFORMATIKA does not accept fast‑track requests; all manuscripts must go through the standard peer review process.

H. Open Access Policy

NUANSA INFORMATIKA is an open access journal. All published articles are freely available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution‑ShareAlike (CC BY‑SA 4.0) license.
