This study explores the impact of 5G network technology on IoT security. The rapid advancements in 5G promise higher data speeds, lower latency, and improved device connectivity, establishing it as a foundation for digital transformation. However, the expanded IoT network increases the risk of cyber threats such as replay attacks and denial-of-service attacks. This paper utilizes a literature review method, analyzing 19 scholarly articles published in the past decade. Key findings highlight the need for robust security protocols like intrusion detection systems, authentication, and data integrity procedures to mitigate potential vulnerabilities. These measures are essential for establishing a secure and reliable 5G-enabled IoT ecosystem. The conclusion underscores the dual role of 5G in driving innovation while necessitating comprehensive security strategies to address its associated risks.
